The second edition of the Iraqi Universities Debating World Cup kicked off in Najaf, under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up. The opening ceremony, which is considered the largest and most important event in the field of debates at the level of Iraqi universities, was attended by the Governor of Najaf Al-Ashraf, Prof. Yousef Kanawi, Prof. Dr. Alaa Naji Al-Mawla, and Provincial Council member Heba Jamil

The Iraqi Universities Debate Mondial was launched in Najaf in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, and hosted by Kufa University.

The event witnessed the participation of six universities from Najaf province:

Kufa University

Middle Euphrates Technical University

Jaber Bin Hayan University

Al-Kafeel University

Sheikh Tusi University

Islamic University
